I am sporting a fantastic "colonial" style wig that will be making its' inaugural debut at Por Vida* next week.

Am I jealous of these sausage curls? Why, yes I am.

Crisp leaves and apple cider. Delicious signs of fall, right? No, instead delicious signs that it is time to change my hair color. Like the leaves it is time for change. This is all tongue in cheek, in all actuality it is just time for me to say farewell to the fried sun bleached strands of summer.

Along with my freshened locks, I would also like to say hello to the Florence and the Machine gift set from Smashbox. Under the tree please!

It's almost midnight on Friday night and I am writing a paper about Sojourner Truth (if you do not know who she is, then kids crack open a history book).

What I want to be doing is stalking all the new fall make-up collections that are available now.

So apparently "social networking" is all the rage these days, with the twitters and the facebooks and the what-nots. As the owner of Lucky 13 Salon, I'm supposed to add to our online media presence, to increase branding and blah blah. But I'm ancient and can barely remember to check my own e-mail, let alone keep up with this blogging business.

Then I remembered: we have a crap-ton of twenty-somethings on staff, who post as naturally as they breathe. So, in the true spirit of delegation, I'm going to invite them to post whatever strikes their fancy: cool stuff they found online, pictures of hair that they dig, random philosophical musings, whatever. I'll probably chip in every now and again too.
